Bruce King

Nationality: Oneida of Wisconsin

Bruce King lives in Sante Fe New Mexico. He is well known throughout Indian Country as a teacher of Indian Art and playwright in the slowly growing Native American Theater. His oil paintings are sold through The Gallery at 822 Canyon Road, Santa Fe. Bear Paw Art Gallery is proud to offer for sale Bruce King's recent completed oil called "Addressing the Council." It depicts a council speaker wearing the traditional deer horns of a leader within the Haudenosaunee. Another symbol of this person's leadership are the strings of wampum, which indicate that he has been sent to speak on behalf of his clan or tribe.
